Sizer is a freeware utility that allows you to resize any open window on your computer screen, to an accurate and a pre-defined size. The utility therefore comes in handy when compiling screenshots for documentation or when designing web pages.
Sizer application can be downloaded 2 formats namely: Zip package: It is a 16 KB file that includes the set up program with no shortcuts. MSI Installer: It is 153 KB file that includes a setup program along with all the shortcuts. Simply follow the instructions that will be displayed on the computer screen to download and install the file and configure all the shortcuts in the setup program. The latter version is being recommended as it includes collective shortcuts and averts many incompatibility issues. Sizer has the capability to function on 32-bit Windows Operating Systems only. The default available window sizes include 1024×768, 800×600 and 640×480, but one is free to add more custom sizes to Sizer. These custom sizes will be visible under the ‘context’ menu of Sizer. For instance, to add more sizes click on ‘Add’ and enter the ‘custom width’ and ‘height’ values.
You can enable or disable Sizer icon, tooltip and window resizing snap size by placing the mouse pointer in appropriate check boxes provided and clicking within them. When launched successfully, the utility will place itself in the system tray permanently, unless it is manually removed or deactivated. Here you will also have the choice to access advanced options via ‘Configure Sizer’. This is how you can use Sizer to define custom window sizes. You can download Sizer from here.
